Creative Assistant - Rutgers University - New Brunswick School of Communication and Information Office of Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS): Nov. 2024 - Present
Working under the director of SC&I CPS, I am responsible for conducting day-to-day administrative tasks to assist in the workflow and communication of the Office of Continuing and Professional Studies. Duties vary and are performed upon request.
Student Assistant (SA) - Rutgers - New Brunswick Special Collections and University Archives: August 2024 - Present
Working under the director of the SCUA, I am responsible for processing, sorting, and preserving of archival materials. This also includes utilizing additional tools within the archival setting to perform tasks upon request. I also help staff the reading room utilized by researchers and visitors.
Student Assistant (SA) - Rutgers - New Brunswick Libraries: August 2024 - Present
Working in Alexander Library, I help staff the reference desk, communicate with students, faculty, and staff, and assist patrons who may have questions about where a book or resource is located, both in the library itself and online.
Project Assistant - Commonwealth Monument Project - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: May 2024 - June 2024
Working with the Commonwealth Monument Project, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, and The International Institute for Peace Through Tourism, I was responsible for developing digital content, media, and communication with community partners in preparation for a collaborative, large-scale, public event held in June of 2024 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
T. Morris Chester Student Research Fellow - Messiah University: August 2023 - May 2024
Worked with students, staff, and faculty at Messiah University to develop content for a project funded by the Council of Independent Colleges: “The Chester Way: Stories of Freedom, Equity, and Justice in Pennsylvania’s Capital Region.” Lead students in creating online heritage tourism sites through Story Maps, Geographic Information Systems, historical research, and writing that discuss the lives and experiences of influential African-American figures who affected Central Pennsylvania’s history. Summer Research Fellow - University of Southern Mississippi: June 2023 - July 2023
During this research fellowship, I had the opportunity to work with other undergraduate students as well as faculty from the University of Southern Mississippi to map out the movement of enslavement and emancipation across the state. This NSF-REU program entitled "Mapping Freedom" included using Geographic Information Systems and primary source documents from The Civil War and Reconstruction Governors of Mississippi project to display trends and present our research. Video Production Intern, Dauphin County Library System: January 2023-May 2023
As part of my internship with the Dauphin County Library System, I am responsible for planning and producing a video documentary that highlights DCLS's organizational initiatives directed to the public that narrate the history of Harrisburg's African American community and its efforts to establish equity, parity, and justice. This project includes interviewing/filming library staff, organizers, and re-enactors, researching source material for historical figures and editing the digital media into a final project. Archives Assistant, Messiah University Archives: August 2022 - May 2024
At the Messiah University Archives, I am responsible for carrying out tasks related to cataloging, researching, preserving, and presenting archival materials. This includes gathering information for researchers, filing documents for safekeeping, carrying out research projects for varying individuals and organizations, and performing any tasks asked of me by our head archivist.


Archival Intern, Metlar-Bodine House Museum: May 2022 - August 2022
At the Metlar-Bodine House Museum, I was responsible for assisting archivist/museum staff with duties pertaining to the museum’s archives, exhibit creation, and technological/oral history projects. This included preparing and processing collections for
storage, preservation, and availability to researchers, which led to the recording of collection data in the museum's
database (PastPerfect). Additionally, I photographed artifacts, scanned documents, produced oral history interviews, and performed any other tasks outside of historical work.
